After his wife’s complications during the birth of their first kid, one individual in the United States has gone above and beyond as a father.

Maxamillian Neubauer knew he needed to step up to the plate and care for his child while his wife was recovering from a C-section after his wife April had a due to complications. Maxamillian was able to secure a suction cup with a cable connected to a pump that fed milk through the feeding tube to the hungry newborn using nurses’ assistance.

Max created a breastfeeding simulation by taping a shield to his chest and hanging a filled with baby formula from it, providing Rosala the most realistic experience feasible.

Max was eager to assist in any way he could, but he acknowledged that he required assistance from the nursing staff in getting situated.

“I needed a lot of assistance and hands-on help since I’m not an expert on the subject. It was fantastic in the end, and it was as natural as it gets.”

Max told POPSUGAR that as soon as he laid eyes on his newborn daughter, Rosalía Lupita Valentina Neubauer, he went into full-on father mode.

“I was so devastated emotionally at the time. I observed my wife have another miscarriage, knowing that she had one more behind closed doors,” he added. “Then to watch this gorgeous ball of joy emerge from those doors, which I helped create and am now responsible for.”

According to Door County Medical, Max was the first to try out this new method of bonding in a hospital: “They asked a few fathers, but no one said yes until me.”

At the end of the day, Max accepts that he was just doing what was best for his family. “I was really simply attempting to do what my father would have done for me. I was following in my wife’s footsteps.”

April has been home for some time, and she’s recovering nicely.

The proud father uploaded photographs from the occasion, which had over 44,000 reactions and over 30,000 shares. Thousands of social media users sang praises for Maxamillian.
